REFURBISHMENT OF OFFICE BUILDING NO. 2, UNAMI HEAD QUARTERS, GREEN ZONE, BAGHDAD, IRAQ

1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement for the Refurbishment of of Office Bulding No. 2 located at the UNAMI Headquarters, Green Zone, Baghdad , Iraq . 2.0 The requirement consists of furnishing of all necessary tools, materials, equipment, skilled manpower, transportation, machineries, accessories and supervision to carry out all works as described below: 2.1. General Requirements : Security Access, Workers' Badges, Movement and Escort of materials and workers to and from the International Zone etc. 2.2 Other preliminaries such as standard construction safety and security gadgets, day marking, signage, protection of existing utilities and adjacent properties that may be affected, submission of samples, reports, quality tests, shop drawings and as-built plans, disposal and clean-up, operating manuals and orientations, etc. 2.3 Civil Works: Foundation for the steel column, fabrication and erection of steel structure, steel base structure, and steel chair. 2.4 Architectural Works: Wood work and flooring works; Door and windows; Ceiling works; Tiling works 2.5 Electrical Works- Upgrading of Lighting System. 2.6 Mechanical Works: Sanitary plumbing; Replacement of existing Airconditioners to Inverter type A/Cs; Fire detection and Alarm System 2.7 ICTS Works: Upgrade of ICTS System 3.0 The works include the supply of all materials, fixtures, fittings, equipment and labour necessary for the completion of the services required. After a complete site investigation, the invited Companies are requested to submit a fixed price proposal for the services and spare parts in accordance with the SOW. 4.0 It is Mandatory that Proposers shall visit the UNAMI compound in Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq prior to the submission of their proposal in order to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the location, operating conditions and specific requirements. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works (SOW), UN General Conditions of Contracts, Supplier Code of Conduct, Global Compact provisions which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for this tender. 6.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request For Proposal with detailed specifications to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI's requirement. 7.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
