Description

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the food-aid arm of the United Nations and the world’s largest Humanitarian Agency fighting hunger worldwide. WFP aims to reach more than 90 million people with food assistance and has a presence in 81 countries.

In emergencies, we get food to where it is needed, saving the lives of victims of war, civil conflict and natural disasters. After the cause of an emergency has passed, we use food to help communities rebuild their shattered lives.

WFP is part of the United Nations system and is 100% voluntarily funded.

Founded in 1961, WFP pursues a vision of the world in which every man, woman and child has access at all times to the food needed for an active and healthy life.

More information about WFP can be found on: www.wfp.org

WFP procures from pre-qualified suppliers only. Registration with WFP is a necessary step to become a WFP vendor. WFP vendor registrations are submitted through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM). This is a portal, www.ungm.org  through which suppliers wishing to do business with the United Nations submit their registration request and specify that the application is to be for the WFP vendor roster.

The ‘New Supplier Registration’ Section is to be completed before proceeding through the steps soliciting company-specific information. Only fully completed registration forms with “Submitted” status will be reviewed.

Owing to the complex nature of WFP’s supply chain and difficult remote working environments, the organization depends on reliable and reputable suppliers.

The World Food Programme finds itself increasingly operating in areas where RISK posed by explosive attacks are increasing and becoming more prevalent.

WFP hereby seeks and invites interested and reputable Companies to be invited for competitive tender for the provision of:
