Angle iron pickets - For solicitation to be issued by the UN in New York (for long-term contract/s)

A1 The United Nations Procurement Division in New York (UN/PD) seeks expressions of interest (EOI) from reputable manufacturers or their authorised dealers / distributors of ANGLE IRON PICKETS (AIPs) for use in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions worldwide. The intention is to award a contract/s resulting from a solicitation that is yet to be issued, against which Missions may order the AIPs. The contract's duration is likely to be initially for three years, plus UN's option to extend twice for a year each. A2 If and when issued (soon after the closing date of this request for EOI), the solicitation document (Invitation to Bid - ITB, or Request for Proposal - RFP) will include the following: A2.1 Detailed technical specifications, including drawings and warranty terms. The AIPs must be (a) rapidly deployable; (b) of convenient size for ease in handling; and (c) environmentally friendly. A2.2 Forecasted quantities - not guaranteed A2.3 Delivery terms - normally FCA seaport(s), DAP-UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy) and DAP-UNRSCE, Entebbe (Uganda), INCOTERMS 2010 A2.4 Maximum delivery duration after receipt of order for each of the three terms in A2.3 A2.5 Table for bidders to indicate production capacity per month A2.6 Table for bidders to provide detailed packing scheme, quantity per pallet, quantity per 20' ISO sea container, with weight restriction of maximum nine (9) metric tonnes per 20' sea container A2.7 Evaluation criteria A2.8 All submissions in response to ITB or RFP must be in English only A2.9 Bidders must accept UN General Conditions of Contract and terms and conditions of Draft Contract. A3 Manadatory requirements are likely to include the following: A3.1 Evidence of ISO 9001:2000 or national or international equivalent Quality Management certification, specifically for meeting physical specifications, testing performance, reliability and durability. A3.2 Evidence of ISO 14001:2004 or national or international equivalent Environmental Management System certification, specifically for meeting designs, manufacture of security/defence materials, environmental specifications and standards. A3.3 Evidence of certification for galvanisation, where applicable. A3.4 Evidence of experience in similar business for AT LEAST the last three (3) years. A3.5 Letters of reference from clients. A3.6 Evidence that the bidder is authorised by the manufacturer to participate in the solicitation, for offering the manufacturer's product.
