Description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites firms to apply for eligibility and to bid for the supply and delivery of three hundred and sixty (360) units of tablets, an activity under the UNDP Project entitled “Climate Twin Phoenix – Resilience and Preparedness towards Inclusive Development. ”

The tablets will be used to conduct surveys while using the custom-made application known as Climate and Disaster Exposure Database (ClimEx.db) which shall be installed in the Android tablets.  The ClimEx.db application is a tool designed to help communities and local governments in planning their land use and development while incorporating measures to adapt to effects of climate change in their localities.

For interested parties, Bidding Documents may be secured upon payment of a non-refundable amount of United States Fifty Dollars (US$ 50.00) or its peso equivalent of PhP 2,335.00 for the entire set of documents from the following address:

Payments may be made in the form of cash or cheque by personal delivery, or bank transfer.  Instructions for bank transfer may be obtained by sending an email to procurement.ph@undp.org or registry.ph@undp.org

The abovementioned Bidding Documents will be released to all interested participants starting 9 September to 21 September 2015.   The Bidding Documents shall contain all instructions on the rules, procedures, dates and other schedules for the pre-bid conference and opening of bid envelopes, as well as further details on the scope of services required.

UNDP reserves the right to reject any or all the bids, waive any defect or informality therein, accept the bid and award the contract to the most advantageous offer to the UNDP, for and in behalf of the project.  UNDP assumes no responsibility to compensate or indemnify the bidder for any expense or loss that may be incurred for the preparation of bids, nor does it guarantee that an award will be made.
