Objectives and Scope

The Government of El Salvador received from the Government of Japan a non-project grant in Yen, equivalent to approximately USD 4.3 million.  The grant is to finance the purchase of goods for various beneficiaries in El Salvador.  The procurement process will be undertaken by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Expected Procurement Components

Through this notice, UNOPS announces its intent to purchase the following products:

-          Lead Sheets

-          Lead Cabinets

Please note that further details on these products will not be available until the tender is launched.

Special Procurement Conditions and Additional Information

UNOPS invites suppliers capable of supplying one or more of above products to submit their expression of interest.

In order to be considered as a potential supplier, interested enterprises should submit their Expression of Interest including the following information:

-          brief presentation of your enterprise including number of staff, turnover, years in business

-          reference list demonstrating your qualifications for participating in this possible upcoming bidding process

-          clearly specify the product(s) of interest

-          contact information  (full name and address, country, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, website and contact person)

The Expression of Interest and accompanying documents must be received by UNOPS no later than 31 August 2007 on the address below. Suppliers must use the EOI online form by clicking the "EOI online submission" link for this opportunity on www.unops.org/Procurement/Current Opportunities, register and enter the data into the EOI form. The completed form can be submitted on-line by clicking “submit”.

This call for Expression of Interest does not constitute a solicitation. UNOPS reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. UNOPS also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final solicitation documents. Submitting a reply to a call for EOI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation documents when issued. Invitations to bid or requests for proposals and any subsequent purchase order or contract will be issued in accordance with the rules and procedures of UNOPS.
