Provision of Maintenance, Testing and Refilling/Services of Fire Extinguishers at UNAMI Compound in Baghdad, Iraq.

1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for Provision of Maintenance, Testing and Refilling/Services of Fire Extinguishers at UNAMI Compound in Baghdad, Iraq for the initial period of one year with an option of extension additional four years, one year at a time under the same terms and conditions subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds and continuation of UNAMI mandate.

1.0.1    The purpose of this contract is to secure for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement  for the Provision of Maintenance, Testing and Refilling/Services of Fire Extinguishers at UNAMI Compound in Baghdad, Iraq.

1.0.2 UNAMI intends to award the contract for one year, with the option to extend at UNAMI’s discretion under the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional one year periods. This contract will be awarded to the proposer that clearly demonstrates through a written proposal a high degree of experience, ability, competency and best-practice in these services.

1.0.3 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNAMI Vendor Registration Form (New Vendors Only). To obtain this form, please contact UNAMI as above.

1.0.4 A MANDATORY SITE VISIT to the location will be required by the vendor prior to bid submission, which will be scheduled by UNAMI and anounced in the Tender document.

2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender.

3.0 Please note on the following:

• This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal.

• UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document.

• UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.

4.0 MANDATORY PRE-QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

i.          Capability to provide 10% of Contract price as a Performance Bond.

ii.          Compulsory Site Visit Attendance on the respective location, which you intend to submit the

             proposal.

iii.         Business presence in the Country

iv.        Duly completed UNGM Vendor Registration Formalities.

v.         Duly completed and signed Pre-Qualification questionnaire and the Vendor Response Form.

 Note: Proof of Documents must be submitted as part of technical requirements upon receipt of the Invitation to bid.
