Design, Implementation and Operation of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for the WMO

The WMO intends to implement an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to manage its internal and external documents as well as implement record management system in line with international standards.

On the basis of a preliminary internal assessment, the WMO has concluded that its future EDMS shall be based on Alfresco.

Against this background, the WMO has developed an initial set of functional and non-functional requirements (provided in Appendix 1 to this document) and now intends engage a qualified System Integrator (the Supplier) to design and implement such system, to be responsible for its application management and on-going support (with the system hosted in a WMO hosting environment) and to implement its further enhancements (the Assignment) in accordance with the Scope and Objectives defined hereafter.
