Description
The United Nations Offices at Nairobi (UNON) seek to evaluate suitability of potential vendors for an upcoming tender process for the provision of supply and after-sales services of indoor acoustic booths at the United Nations Complex, Nairobi. The prefered booths should meet below specifications. • Meet Class A+, Class A or Class B classification achieved through test conducted under ISO 23351:2020 (or approved equivalent) for acoustic properties. • Be compliant with international fire safety and emergency preparedness standards to the following (or their approved equivalent): * Wall structures: D-s1, d0 or D-s2, d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1. * Fabrics: Class 1 (A) under ASTM E84, EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, or CA TB 117:2013 * Fabrics Foam: BS5852 * Adjustable air flow (between 60m3/h and 80m3/h) and light intensities * Energy-efficient features, such as motion sensors for lighting and ventilation. * 13Amp power plug to be compatible with safe voltage of 12-24 volts and fed to power ventilation and LED lighting systems in the acoustic booth. • Minimum power cord of 3.5 m long. • CE declarations confirming to no WiFi signal interferences caused by the acoustic booth components. Declarations to comply with legal requirements and conform to EMC and radiated emissions testing. • Accessibility for individuals with special needs. • Acoustic booth to have ability to have seismic anchoring systems with backed test report. • Acoustic booth to have certification for sustainability • Be designed for easy movement within buildings using trolley pallets without a need for dismantling. The assessment will be based on the specific criteria outlined in attached Annex A , and the organization will use the information provided to determine the next course of action. The complete details of the requirement will be provided to companies that meet the suitability assessment requirements, and be considered for the next stage of the acquisition process as determined solely by UNON. Specific Requirements/Information Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. Interested vendors are required to express their interest as follows: a) Via the link in UNGM provided at the Vendor Response section of the EOI, and b) Submit the filled out suitability assessment checklist attached as Annex A of this EOI, as well as the additional documents/information requested against each criteria, via email to unon-procurement-rfx@un.org copying benson.kangangi@un.org, by the REOI closing date of 24 February 2026. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submission will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
