The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for theProvision of Marine Engineering Boat Maintenance Kits for Yamaha and Suzuki Engines for Delivery in Somalia, Kenya, Seychelles, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritius and Comoros to support member states in strengthening the maritime law enforcement capacities needed to counter illicit activities at sea. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) through its Global Maritime Crime Programme aims to support Maritime Law Enforcement Agencies within the indian ocean west region in combating maritime crimes. The project’s primary objectives of this requirement is to supply engine spare parts and engineering tools required to maintain the existing fleet of Yamaha and Suzuki boats in the region. The complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information Pre-qualification of Vendors This pre-qualification is intended to assess vendors against pre-determined criteria listed below. Only those vendors which in the opinion of the United Nations demonstrably meet the criteria will be shortlisted to participate in the upcoming tendering exercise following the finalization of the pre-qualification process. The UN will judiciously apply these criteria to prequalify adequate number of vendors with a goal to maximize competition and serve the interest of the United Nations. Eligible Institutions Must: •Be registered in their area of operation •Provide a brief profile (1 page) indicating proven experience in supply of boats and boat spares. Documents required from Vendors: 1.Copies of certificates (in English or translated into English) and other relevant documents such as county permits. 2. The Vendor provide a 1 page profile indicating a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the supply of boats and the related tools and equipment. 3.A valid Manufacture's authorisation agreement/letter to supply boats and related spares and tools. IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued. UNODC will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest. UNODC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
