New clarification added: Clarification:With reference to the electrical works, Clause (10.2), please note the following for clarification:The smoke and heat detector cannot be applied with the specified quantity, as it requires the establishment of a complete electrical system connected to the power supply. Considering the required quantity, executing this work would be impractical and not feasible.Furthermore, it should be noted that there is no combined smoke and heat detector available in the market that operates on batteries. The only available option in the market is a battery-operated smoke detector.Accordingly, kindly clarify the proposed method of implementation or reconsider theUNOPS REPLY:The bidder shall price the BoQ inline with full requirements stated in the tender packag; It's the bidder's responsibility to procure and deliver the material with reference to the tender specifications. The required multi-function detectors are a standard product, and they shall be standalone detectors, local purchase is not a condition, bidders can import it from international markets if not available in the local market.

New clarification added: Clarification:Dear Sir / MadamWe, Eemar Sinjar Company , are very interested in participating in the upcoming shelter construction project under UNOPS.We would like to request clarification regarding the Previous Experience requirement stated in the tender documents:“Bidders shall have successfully completed at least one (1) construction contract for vertical structures … with a minimum contract value of IQD 800,000,000, within the last five (5) years (2021–2025).”As a local company with proven experience in both large and smaller vertical construction projects, we would like to inquire whether UNOPS would consider the aggregation of multiple smaller projects to meet the minimum contract value requirement. This approach could allow more qualified local or smaller companies to participate, while still ensuring compliance with the technical and quality standards required for vertical construction.We kindly request your guidance on whether such an approach would be acceptable under the current tender rules.We appreciate your support and look forward to your clarification, which will help ensure fair participation and compliance.UNOPS Answer:Bidders, either individually or jointly with their Joint Venture (JV) partner(s) (combined), must demonstrate at least one similar project with a contract value of not less than IQD 800,000,000, as stipulated in the ITB.
