Description
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations, with 194 member states. WIPO’s headquarters are based in Geneva, Switzerland. WIPO assists Industrial Property (IP) offices in more than 90 developing countries with digital transformation projects, supported by bespoke products and services. An important component of these projects is the conversion of paper records to digital format and the creation of digital and online registries. These projects enhance accessibility of information, ensure data integrity, support automation of workflows, preserve historical records, and enable the delivery of fully online services. To support these projects in the African continent, WIPO wishes to engage Service Providers who can perform the following services in the following areas: - Capture missing data; - Digitize and index paper documents; - Verify/validate bibliographic data and metadata in the IP administration systems; - Document management systems.
