Provision of Borehole Drilling Works for Five (5) Boreholes, Including the Supply, Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning of Solar-Powered Water Pumping Systems and Protective Fencing in Five (5) locations in El Gezira State, Sudan.

United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Sudan, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Provision of Borehole Drilling Works for Five (5) Boreholes, Including the Supply, Delivery, Installation, and Commissioning of Solar-Powered Water Pumping Systems and Protective Fencing in Five (5) Locations in El Gezira State, Sudan. The project aims to improve access to safe drinking water for returnees and vulnerable communities in some of the most affected neighbourhoods, as well as villages and towns located in three localities of Gezira State: Hasahissa, Al-Kamlin, and Wad Al-Hadad. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: • Conduct geophysical surveys to ascertain groundwater availability and subsurface geology, informing the selection of the most appropriate drilling system in Hasahissa, Al-Kamlin, Wad Al-Hadad) localities. • Provide Borehole Drilling Works for Five (5) Boreholes with an average depth of approx. 700 – 1200 ft. • Supply, installation and commissioning of solar-powered, multi-stage submersible pumps rated for 240/415V, 50 Hz, with approx. capacity of 30-40 m³/hr and total head of minimum 160 meters. • Supply, installation and commissioning of off-grid solar power system that produces approx. 30-40 cubic meters of water per hour with a total dynamic head of at least 160 meters. Includes monocrystalline PV modules with a minimum rating of approx 550W per panel, an off-grid solar pump inverter with a capacity of approx. 22.5 kW (suitable for 11 kW to 15 kW submersible pumps), and an MPPT charge controller rated at 100A. • Install protective fencing: Supply and installation of a secure perimeter fencing including foundation works, re-inforcement bars, barbed wire, fence doors etc. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders.
