Description
1. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is initiating the phased closure of designated UNIFIL Positions across its Area of Operations (AO). As part of this process, UNIFIL will undertake the demolition and dismantling of existing structures, associated facilities, underground elements, and utilities, followed by their complete removal and environmentally compliant disposal. 2. The projected future requirement/ scope of works will cover a wide range of infrastructure, including but not limited to prefabricated units, hard-wall reinforced concrete structures, observation towers, defensive installations, Roads and parking, helipads, utility networks, septic systems, fuel tanks, shelters, protective barriers, and other mission-specific facilities. Many of these structures incorporate subsurface foundations, underground services, and embedded concrete elements requiring full removal. All works shall be executed in full compliance with applicable international standards, Lebanese laws and regulations, international and UN safety and environmental standards, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements. Specific Requirements/Information 3. UNIFIL hereby invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified, experienced, and duly licensed demolition and dismantling contractors. Interested firms shall demonstrate proven technical expertise, adequate resources, availability of appropriate equipment, capability, and experience in executing large-scale demolition works in operationally sensitive environments as part of their UNGM registration.
