Description
The United Nations Office Nairobi (UNON) seeks to engage a manufacturer/ authorised dealer/ approved installer with the requisite capacity to supply, install and provide associated warranties for a proprietary electromechanical swing door drive. The requirement is for Dormakaba ED100 (Equal or equivalent) automatic door drives with associated safety sensors to match existing/installed drives on aluminium glazed doors in an office environment at the UNON complex in Nairobi, Kenya. Additionally, the supply and installation of wave to open or push to open switches where required. The works include: • Supply and installation of electromechanical swing door drives (Dormakaba ED100 or equivalent) and provision of slide channels for all drives • Provision and installation of push-to-open or wave-to-open activation switches where required • Integration with existing aluminium glazed doors • Integration with existing access control systems • Calibration, testing, and commissioning • Provision of product warranty and maintenance for the first year  Specific Requirements/Information Interested vendors must possess the necessary technical expertise and capacity to provide the required services, as only suitably qualified vendors will be invited to participate in the Invitation to Bid (ITB) that will be issued following the finalization of this REOI exercise. A vendor's suitability shall be assessed using the Preliminary Assessment checklist attached as Annex A to this REOI. Vendors must submit their EOI electronically online, through UNGM. In addition, vendors who have registered their interest in UNGM must also complete Annex A and return it via e-mail to unon-procurement-rfx@un.org, with copy to james.boardman@un.org and wangui.ndegwa@un.org, by the REOI closing date of 15 January 2026. Please refer to Annex A for detailed instructions and assessment procedure. Vendors expressing interest must be registered with UNGM, at minimum at the Basic Level. Vendors not registered in UNGM will not be eligible to participate in the Request for Proposal at a later stage. Details of the technical evaluation criteria and other particular requirements will be provided under the ITB at a later stage. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of proposal/offer. Vendors currently registered at basic level in the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) are encouraged to proceed and submit requirements for level 1 registration.
