Description
The United Nations is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified vendors for the supply, delivery, and placement/casting of class 30 (C30) ready-mix concrete (RMC) for concrete hard surfaces and road development works in support of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) at Entebbe Support Base. The requirement will result in award of a long-term agreement (LTA) based on fixed rates and multiple deliveries, on an “as-and-when-required” basis, for an initial period of one (1) year with a possibility of two (2) extension of one (1) year each (1+1+1 years) at the sole discretion of MONUSCO and based on operational requirements. The scope shall involve supply, delivery, mobilization of concrete equipment, and placement/casting of 1,600 cubic meters per year of class 30 (C30) RMC at specific work sites as per quantities described in the Bill of Quantities/ Task Orders (TOs). Unless otherwise stated elsewhere, the successful bidder shall be solely responsible for providing all inputs, means and/arrangements required for the supply, delivery, and placing of ready-mix concrete under the resulting contract including, but not limited to provision of all the necessary materials, personnel, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, management/administration, insurance coverage and all other costs that may be required to fulfil all its contractual obligations for the entire duration of the initial term and extended term (if any). Therefore, the unit price per cubic meter offered shall be all-inclusive. Subcontracting of works is not allowed while equipment may be leased or hired. At bid evaluation stage, bidders will be required to provide proof of valid business license from Ugandan authorities, experience in works involving RMC in the last three (3) years, machine/plant and equipment and method statement. Please note that details of the requirement will be in the solicitation documents which will be issued later to an approved list of vendors and note no further details of the planned solicitation can be made available to the vendors prior to issuance of the solicitation documents. Specific Requirements/Information 1. Competent and Interested vendors must submit their expression of interest electronically via the link provided below. 2. Interested vendors must complete their UNGM registration at the Basic Level before the closing of the REOI with accurate information including company name, contacts and relevant UNSPSC codes. 3. To be eligible for award consideration, bidders must be registered at UNGM Level 2. Vendors are encouraged to commence the registration process as early as possible via UNGM website below. 4. Please note that this request for expression of interest is not a request for proposal and submission of an EOI will not automatically warrant receipt of the solicitation document. The UN reserves the right to issue solicitation documents only to those prospective vendors that are deemed qualified/ competent upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission. The UN reserves the right to reject submissions received after the indicated deadline. 5. The UN reserves the right to change/cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
