Description
1. Background The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA) is implementing the project Strengthening Yemen Coast Guard Operational Capacity. To support sustainable operations, UNODC intends to procure and install multiple hybrid solar power systems (11kW–25kW capacity) across different Yemen Coast Guard facilities in Aden, Yemen. 2. Scope of Requirements The scope of supply and services includes, but is not limited to: • Supply of hybrid solar power systems including: o High-efficiency N-type monocrystalline solar panels (700W each, ≥22.5% efficiency) o Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery storage units (≥15 kWh per system) o Hybrid inverters (11kW–25kW) with MPPT controllers, grid integration, and BMS compatibility o Cabling, breakers, grounding systems, mounting structures (flat rooftop, metallic rooftop, ground-mounted carport style), accessories, and safety equipment • Installation, commissioning, and integration of the systems with facility infrastructure • Provision of air conditioning units (18,000 BTU) for battery rooms and high-pressure washers for solar panel cleaning • On-site technical training for Yemen Coast Guard personnel on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting • Delivery of as-built technical drawings and documentation • Minimum one-year warranty on all supplied systems and components      Specific Requirements/Information       3. Vendor Eligibility Interested vendors must: • Demonstrate proven experience in the design, supply, and installation of solar power systems ≥20kW in similar fragile or coastal environments • Confirm the ability to mobilize resources and conduct installation works in Aden, Yemen • Ensure all proposed solar equipment (panels, inverters, batteries) complies with international quality and safety standards (IEC/ISO/CE equivalent) • Preferably hold OEM authorization for the supply of key components (solar panels, inverters, LiFePO₄ batteries) • Be registered on the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM), or commit to register prior to any contract award 4. Submission Requirements Interested companies are invited to submit the following: 1. Company profile, including legal name, registration details, and contact information 2. Summary of relevant experience in similar projects (location, size, year, client references) 3. UNGM account details (or statement of intent to register) 4. Documentation demonstrating compliance with international quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO, IEC certifications)
