The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) has a requirement for the establishment of a contract for the Provision of Construction Materials, related Accessories and Professional Equipment on “as and when required basis” to UNGSC in Brindisi - Italy. The Contract shall be established for an initial period of 3 years with the option to be renewed for 2 additional periods of one-year each, for a maximum contract period of 5 years. The required items includes cements, concrete, structural products, external and internal finishing materials, adhesives, sealants and masonry powered equipment, as per indicative list shown below: - Cements and multi-purpose uses and different types - Mortar and plasters for internal and external uses - Concrete flooring for walkways - Interior finishing coverings such as floor and wall tiles - Finishing and edge protectors such as wall and countertop profiles - Ready-for-use screeds with high resistance - Textile floorings complete with accessories for installation and maintenance - Exterior finishing materials, such as ridged insulated metal panels for roof - Special hand tools and accessories for masons - Standard tufa blocks, first choice, various dimensions - Traditional limes, various types - Aerated autoclaved concrete bricks for partition walls - Waterproofing membranes, liquid and in rolls, polyester type - Concrete manufactures (concrete lintels, concrete beams, concrete manholes, etc) - Inerts and bituminous materials - Terracotta hollow tiles - Ductile iron manholes tops, all types - Ironmongery for building and related materials and accessories - Professional adhesives for floors and aerated autoclaved concrete bricks - Fencing, gates and modular fencing for worksites - Masonry powered equipment such as stone row, masonry saw, universal mixers for mortars and cements All construction materials and professional equipment must be in compliance with the latest European/Italian Safety Laws as well as with the applicable European/Italian Standards and Greening Standards ECOLABEL. The required delivery time for both “IN STOCK/NON-IN-STOCK” items is maximum 3 calendar weeks from the date of Receipt of Purchase Order. The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI. In order for the Expression of Interest to be considered, the company must be registered with United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) by visiting the website: www.ungm.org. In order to be awarded a Contract/Purchase Order, the Vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is “Level 1”, by the time of finalization of bid evaluation before the award.
