Description
1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposal for the provision of Aero Medical Evacuation (Aero medevac) for all deployed UNAMI Staff and UN Agencies staff in Iraq. The contractor is expected to deliver 24 hours/7 days prompt aero medevac services on an “as and when required” basis from Iraq (Baghdad, Erbil, Kirkuk, Basra) and other remote areas of Iraq to Amman or other designated in and out of mission medical evacuation points as required by UNAMI for the initial period of one (1) year with an option of extension of additional two (2) years, one year at a time under the same terms and conditions subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds and continuation of UNAMI mandate. 2.0 The successful Contractor shall provide a comprehensive non-exclusive Aero Medical Evacuation Services to the UN/UNAMI which will involve medical/casualty evacuation for all categories of patients suffering from all nature of illness and injuries. 3.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNGM Registration at level 1 or above. 4.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
