Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA) and Market System Analysis (MSA)

Dear Vendor,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an eligible entity work on an assignment with below objectives.

• Conduct a Rapid Market Appraisal (RMA) to identify three priority sectors/sub-sectors with strong potential for growth, employment creation, and economic inclusion for returnees, IDPs, women, and vulnerable local communities.
• Apply ILO VCD value chain selection criteria, including market potential, feasibility, competitive advantage, gender/social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and decent work considerations.
• Undertake a comprehensive Market Systems Analysis (MSA) for each selected sector to identify:
• Systemic constraints and root causes of underperformance
•  enhanced productivity, quality, and market linkages

• Barriers to workforce absorption and enterprise growth
• Decent work deficits
• The capacities and incentives of key market actors
• Develop actionable, scalable, and sustainable intervention options aligned with ILO’s AIMS framework to strengthen the market system and improve job quality and quantity

• Generate clear recommendations to inform livelihood programming, partnerships, and future value chain interventions
