Could you please advise which specific insurance policies you expect the bidder to provide in this context?UNOPS Answer: Please note that the insurance coverage provided by the Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) or by the laboratory do not fully meet the requirements stipulated in the tender documents. New clarification added: Question 1: Time extension request due to public holidays and closure.UNOPS Answer: UNOPS decided to extend the tender deadline until 16 Dec 2025, please refer to the General Tab for more details.Question 2: What is the proposed execution time that will require technical support from the consultant.UNOPS Answer: Please refer to Attachment #2 - Supply and Installation of Solar PV Lights for Beirut Corniche Design Implementation Plan in the Documents tab.Question 3: It is mentioned under page 26 that site supervision is not required and it will be handled by the UNOPS team while it is mentioned in item b. Tas 3.2 that approval of shop drawing and material is part of the consultant scope of work which is imperative part of the site supervisor scope. Please confirm if supervision will be required from the consultant.UNOPS Answer: As mentioned in the terms of reference, the site supervision activities will be executed by UNOPS. The role of the consultant is to check the various submissions of the contractor, including, but not limited to, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and replies to clarifications request, and to modify the design in case the actual situation on site differed from the design parameters. Please refer to the TOR - Supply and Installation of Beirut Corniche Solar Street Lighting in the Documents Tab.Question 4: It is mentioned that etap and PVsys calculations are required which is not usual part of on pole solar street lighting. Please confirm if the mentioned calculation is required.UNOPS Answer: ETAP and PVsyst are examples of Specialized Computer Aided Design Softwares that can be used in the assignments. The selection of which softwares to be used is subject to the consultant’s proposal and UNOPS approval as per the assignment requirements. Please refer to TOR - Supply and Installation of Beirut Corniche Solar Street Lighting in the Documents tab.Question 5: I am writing to kindly request a clarification regarding the signature requirements for the Joint Venture. We would like to confirm whether completing and signing the provided Joint Venture Schedule by all related parties is sufficient for submission of the tender as Joint Venture, or if the agreement must also be notarized by a Public Notary and submitted.UNOPS Answer: In line with the instructions, completing and signing the Joint Venture Schedule by all relevant parties is sufficient for submission as a Joint Venture. Please note that all other Joint Venture related requirements outlined in the solicitation must also be met.
