The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Sudan Programme, is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a contract for the S Drilling of Boreholes and Supply, Delivery, and Installation of Ten Solar Power Systems with Protective Fencing in El Gezira State (Well Depth: 300–400 ft). Scope of Work The project involves drilling new boreholes and installing solar-powered water-pumping systems with protective fencing to improve access to safe drinking water for returnees and vulnerable communities in El Gezira State, Sudan. Key scope of work includes: • Conducting geophysical surveys at ten sites to confirm groundwater availability and inform the drilling method. • Drilling boreholes to about 100–120 m, with specified diameters, steel casing, filters, proper development, grouting, and sealing. •Supplying and installing stainless steel multi-stage submersible pumps, matched to final yield and head based on pumping tests. •Designing, supplying, and installing complete off-grid solar power systems (PV modules, inverters, controllers, mounting structures, control boxes) sized to deliver the required daily water output. •Constructing secure perimeter fencing around each solar array with specified foundations, steel posts, reinforcements, barbed wire, and a lockable access gate. The targeted areas are ten sites across Greater Madani, Hasahissa, Umm Al Gura, and South El Gezira localities, including Mobi Al-Gadima, Hantoob Block 90, Central Market, Beit Al-Shabab, Wad Shenaina, Wad Hussein Al-Halaween, Al-Kajara Omer, Al-Madina Arab 18, South Wad Al Mehaidi, and Karjaba in El Gezira State, Sudan. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. Specific Requirements/Information Other Information: Applications submitted after the REOI closing date will only be accepted at the discretion of UNON. Applicants should note that UNON, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to request for additional information or documentation should this be required. No payment will be made by UNON to applicants or any other entity for any costs, expenses, losses or damages incurred or suffered by the applicant or any other entity arising out of or in connection with the preparation of the application
