Supply of Medium Voltage Electricity to UNICTF (Valencia, Spain)

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy has a requirement to establish a long-term contract for the Supply of Electricity in Medium Tension to its premises located in Valencia, Spain: the United Nations Information and Communications Technology Facility (UNICTF). It is anticipated that the contract term shall be for a period of two (2) years (1+1). The specifications of power provision are as follows: • Type of Power Supply: Medium Voltage • Nominal Voltage: 20 kV • Nominal frequency: 50 Hz • Maximum power demand: 1000 kW • It is required that 100% of electricity supplied comes from renewable energy sources. The Supplier shall provide Guarantees of Origin (GdO) issued by CNMC. The yearly electricity consumption is estimated to be ~ 4,500,000 kWh/year (9,000,000 kWh in two years). Qualifications: Bidders must provide valid evidence of the “comunicación de inicio de actividad” submitted to the Directorate General for Energy Policy and Mines (Dirección General de Política Energética y Minas – DGPEM) under the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). Bidders must be listed in the official register of active electricity suppliers (comercializadores activos), as maintained by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC).
