Tender description: This RFQ refers to the supply and delivery of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes in multiple locations in Kunar and Laghman provinces, Afghanistan. The tender is divided into the following 2 Lots:
LOT 1: Supply and delivery of 16,552 meters of HDPE pipes across five locations in Kunar province
LOT 2: Supply and delivery of 11,166 meters of HDPE pipes across three locations in Laghman and Kunar provinces
Note to Bidders: Bidders, at their own discretion, may bid for one or both lots identified in this tender. However, a bidder may be awarded no more than one lot under this tender.

New amendment added #1: AMENDMENT 1:The tender is hereby amended as follows:1. Ref. to the Price Schedule for LOT 1 – Delivery Location Koza Manogai, Dara-e-Pech District, Kunar Province, the specification for the pipe with a total length of 660 meters has been revised. The correct diameter is 225 mm, not 255 mm as previously indicated.Accordingly, the requirement for 255 mm diameter pipe under LOT 1 (as indicated in Form C – Technical Quotation Form, Line 14: Outside Diameter LOT 1) is hereby removed from the list of required pipe sizes.All other tender terms and conditions remain unchanged.

New clarification added: Good afternoon dear Team.Please can you confirm that it is impossible to participate in the tender if there is no active license issued by the Afghan Chamber of Commerce?Furthermore, is it mandatory to have references for supplies of a similar nature, or no less than USD 75,000, but within Afghanistan?Thank you.UNOPS response:Dear bidder,Thank you for your interest in this tender. Please find below a response to your queries:1) Bidders are required to hold a valid business license issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Afghanistan. This is a mandatory eligibility requirement under the qualification criteria. In addition, bidders must have executed at least two (2) contracts for the supply of similar goods (e.g., HDPE pipes or other water infrastructure materials) within Afghanistan, each with a minimum contract value of USD 75,000 within the past three (3) years. Supporting evidence such as copies of contracts or purchase Orders must be provided.Thank youUNOPS Procurement Team

New clarification added: Sir We want to now following clarification.1) Is both lots are manadatory ? OR we can go for any one Lot.2) In price schedule of LOT 1 , KOZA MONGAI delivery there are two types of pipe . One is 255 mm size - 660 Mtr. Is it 255 or 250 mm. Another mentioned pipe is 250 mm. 3) All prices are included transportation. 4) Length mentioned is 6 Mtr or 12 Mtr. But in case of 6 Mtr - 20 feet container length is slight less so we need to go for 40' container. Can you give permission for 11.5 Mtr pipe which is suitable 40' length container. It reduce the freight cost. Pls guide.UNOPS responseDear bidder,Thank you for your interest in this tender. Please find below a response to your queries:1. However, please note that a single bidder may be awarded no more than one lot under this tender.2. Ref. to the Price Schedule for LOT 1 – Delivery Location Koza Manogai, Dara-e-Pech District, Kunar Province, please note that the correct specification for the pipe with a total length of 660 meters is 225 mm in diameter. The figure “255 mm” in the Price Schedule was an oversight and will be corrected through a tender amendment accordingly. Additionally, please note that in the same location (Koza Manogai), there is another pipe of 250 mm diameter with a total length of 33 meters, and this specification remains unchanged.3. Please note that the prices should be based on Incoterm DPU (Delivered at Place unloaded) which means the prices should include transportation costs at locations specified in the Price Schedule Form4. Regarding the pipe lengths, please note that only 6-meter and 12-meter pipes are acceptable as per the tender specifications. Bidders are required to base their quotations strictly on the specified lengths of 6 m and/or 12 m.Thank youUNOPS Procurement Team
