            Description
             1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the design, construction, commissioning and testing of a (PV) solar farm at check point CP10, Dherynia village, Famagusta, Cyprus.
2. CP10 (35°4'20.50"N, 33°57'54.50"E) is administered under UNFICYP Sector 4, UN buffer zone. The location is a flat ground area and facilities at the site are currently supplied electrical power by the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC). The PV farm shall be connected in parallel with the EAC grid (“on-grid” configuration) and admitted to the Net Billing scheme currently offered by EAC.
3. The Contractor shall perform the required services in three (3) consecutive phases, Phase 1: Study and Executive Design, Phase 2: Mobilization/supply and Installation, and Phase 3: Commissioning and Testing. The minimum objective is to design and install the on-grid PV system with a minimum capacity of 49.80 kilowatt-peak.
4. UNFICYP will provide the main equipment for the project, i.e., the solar PV panels, PV inverters and the necessary supporting structures (frames). The Contractor shall supply the labour and any additional equipment, cabling or accessories that will be required to complete system installation and activation.
5. Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend a mandatory site visit as part of the solicitation exercise.
6. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below), before the above mentioned closing date. Women-owned and disabilty-inclusive suppliers are strongly encouraged to express interest.
7. In case you have difficulties submitting your interest electronically, please contact Mr. Ahmet Tolon via email to unficyp-procurement@un.org, no later than Wednesday, 12 November 2025. The Vendor Response Form is also available in our website www.unficyp.org.
8. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Basic Level at the time of the award.
9. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at www.ungm.org for Basic Level registration. Information on the prerequisites for Basic Level registration can be found at https://www.ungm.org/Public/Pages/RegistrationProcess
