The Office of Investment Management (“OIM”) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (”UNJSPF”) seeks to retain a non-discretionary advisor to advise and assist the OIM in investing and managing the Real Asset portfolio of the Fund’s Investments. Fund's Real Asset Sub-classes include: - Reat Estate - Infrastructure - Timber and Agriculture The Advisor will make recommendations for overall global Real Asset investment strategy for the Fund. Services required will be (among others): (i) provide written recommendations for investments in specific funds based on appropriate due diligence, (ii) assist with selection of managers, (iii) monitor investments after they are made, (iv) provide summary reporting on those investments on a quarterly basis and reconcile them with the Fund’s Reporting Agent, (v) meet with the Fund’s Investment Committee and OIM staff as needed, (vi) prepare special analyses as requested by the OIM staff related to industry changes on such topics as benchmarking, fee structures, and real assets investment trends, (vii) monitor portfolio risk and other aspects of the portfolio deemed valuable by the OIM staff for management of the real assets portfolio, (viii) maintain regular communication with OIM staff, which would include frequent telephone consultations as required by the advisor and/or staff to effectively accomplish all the services required by this RFP. The Fund is looking to hire a single Advisor for the entire Real Assets portfolio but will consider separate Advisors for each Real Assets sub-class. Interested companies, with potential qualification, will be invited for a formal solicitation process. Duration of expected services shall be initial period of 2 years with two optional extensions of two years each (2+2+2), upon full discretion of the UN and satisfactory performance of the contractor. This Request for Expression of Interest is not a solicitation process. The formal solicitation, once issued will include the detailed scope of work and criteria for recommendation of award. Specific Requirements/Information The potential vendors should have the following qualification at the time formal solicitation: (i) a minimum of (5) years proven experience in providing advice to (a) pension funds of Governments (Sovereign or State), (b) Multinational Corporations, and other similar large pension funds in the area of Real Estate investments; (ii) an established track record in providing advice to (a) pension funds of Governments, Multilateral Organisations, (b) Multinational Corporations, and other similar large pension funds or entities in Real Estate investments; (iii) strong professional credentials and qualifications in the investment industry.
