New clarification added: Dear UNOPS Procurement Team,We kindly submit the following clarifications and proposed technical adjustments for your consideration regarding the tender specifications:Clause 6.7.2 – The current requirement specifies a flow rate not less than 500–1400 ml/min.We propose changing this to a flow rate of not less than 400–700 ml/min. The normal operation of the endoscopic water pump requires a flow rate within this range, which ensures adequate cleaning and visualization without excessive pressure. Higher flow rates are unnecessary and may risk the integrity of the endoscope.Clause 6.7.4 – The current requirement specifies a pump cartridge. We propose removing this requirement. These devices deliver sterile water directly to the endoscope without the use of replaceable cartridges. Maintaining this clause limits participation of manufacturers using alternative, equally safe mechanisms.Clause 6.10.7 – The specification currently requires continuous monitoring of the tightness of the endoscope during the entire time of processing. We propose that the leak (tightness) test should be performed before the start of the reprocessing cycle. Continuous monitoring throughout the process is unnecessary, as a leak test at the beginning ensures the endoscope’s integrity in line with international standards.Clause 6.10.9 – The requirement mentions the possibility of processing endoscopes with non-hermetic electrical components that cannot be completely immersed in disinfectant solution or water. We propose that the washer-disinfector shall ensure safe and effective processing of endoscopes according to their design and manufacturer’s instructions. The current clause limits participation to a narrow range of devices, while the proposed wording maintains safety and allows compatibility with various endoscope types.Clause 6.11.1 – The current requirement calls for disinfection availability integrated in the cabinet. We propose that the storage cabinet should provide drying of endoscopes with filtered dry air after disinfection. Combining disinfection and storage functions increases the risk of cross-contamination and complicates validation. According to best practices, disinfection should occur in a washer-disinfector, while the cabinet should provide drying and clean-air circulation.Clause 6.11.4 – The current requirement specifies the number of hooks for hanging instruments to be not less than five.We propose that the cabinet should be equipped with rotary stands or dedicated holders for at least five endoscopes to prevent entanglement and ensure safe, ergonomic storage. Using simple hooks is unsuitable for flexible endoscopes due to potential twisting or damage. Rotary stands or holders provide safer, proper storage with optimal air flow.Clause 6.3.13 – The current specification requires an additional channel for water. We propose removing this requirement for gastroscopes. Gastroscopes are designed with an integrated water supply system that ensures lens cleaning during procedures. Therefore, an additional water channel is redundant and may unnecessarily restrict participation.Clause 6.2.6 – The specification currently requires video inputs: 1× DVI, 1× SDI or SD or HD, 1× VGA, and 1× Component. We propose simplifying this to: at least one of the following – 1× SDI (SD or HD) or 1× DVI or 1× VGA or 1× Component. SDI supports both SD and HD digital signals and ensures stable, high-quality transmission. Requiring multiple input types is redundant and limits eligible suppliers.Dear Bidder,Thank you for your interest in the tender. Please find below the clarifications on your questions.Clause 6.7.2: Partially accepted. Systems with a flow rate starting from at least 400 ml/min are acceptable, provided they ensure adequate irrigation performance and compatibility with the offered endoscopes. The upper limit is indicative and not restrictive. Specification will be amended accordingly.Clause 6.7.4: Accepted. Both solutions — systems using pump cartridges and systems using direct sterile-water delivery — are acceptable, provided infection-control and patient-safety standards are met.Clause 6.10.7: Accepted. Both options — systems performing leak testing prior to the cycle and systems providing continuous monitoring during the cycle — are acceptable, provided compliance with recognized standards (e.g., ISO 15883-4) is ensured.Clause 6.10.9: Accepted. The washer-disinfector shall ensure safe and effective processing of endoscopes in accordance with their design and validated manufacturer instructions. Clause 6.2.6: Accepted. Specification will be amended to require at least two mandatory video inputs – SDI (SD or HD) and DVI – ensuring compatibility with high-quality video processors and stable image transmission. Additional inputs such as VGA or Component remain optional.Clause 6.3.13: Accepted. The additional channel for water shall be considered optional. Offers with gastroscopes featuring a single integrated air/water channel will be acceptable under the existing requirement.Clause 6.11.1: Accepted. Both configurations – cabinets with integrated disinfection or drying/filtered-air storage after disinfection – are acceptable, provided infection-control and safety standards are ensured.Clause 6.11.4: Accepted. Cabinets with rotary stands or dedicated holders for at least five endoscopes are acceptable as an equivalent to fixed hooks, ensuring safe storage and proper air flow.Thank you.Procurement team.

New clarification added: Dear UNOPS Procurement Team,We kindly submit the following clarifications and proposed technical adjustments regarding the tender requirements:Clause 3.2 – The current specification requires an HD video laryngoscope based on CMOS technology with a touchscreen LCD display and workstation. We would like to clarify that such a screen is sufficient for normal operation of the video laryngoscope. The proposed configuration includes a workstation for better visualization of the captured image.Clause 3.13 – The current requirement specifies that the display screen size diagonal should not be less than 8 inches. We propose that the diagonal screen size of the workstation should be at least 8 inches, as an 8-inch video laryngoscope itself is very inconvenient due to its size. For better visualization, the kit includes a workstation with a separate display.Clause 3.14 – The requirement states that the display resolution should not be worse than 1920 × 1200 pixels (Full HD+ quality). We propose that this requirement should apply to the workstation display, with a resolution of no less than 1920 × 1200 pixels (Full HD+ quality). This ensures better visualization through the workstation’s separate display.Clause 3.18 – The specification mentions storage on a removable SD card.We propose allowing storage on a removable SD card or USB drive. USB is a more common and convenient way to store images and videos, allowing them to be easily transferred to any computer. We would highly appreciate your confirmation whether the above proposed clarifications and modifications can be accepted within the scope of the tender technical specifications.Thank you very much for your attention and kind consideration./Dear Bidder,Thank you for your interest in the tender. Please find below the clarfications on your questions:Clause 3.2: Accepted. The proposed configuration with optional workstation and multiple boot/display options is acceptable, provided all essential functions of the laryngoscope remain operational independently of the workstation. The specification will be amended accordingly.Clause 3.13: Accepted. The minimum 8-inch screen size requirement applies to the workstation display. Both configurations – display integrated on the device or connected via a workstation – are acceptable, provided that visualization and ergonomics are ensured.Clause 3.14: Accepted. The Full HD+ (1920 × 1200 pixels) resolution requirement remains applicable to all offered display configurations, including both the integrated device display and the workstation display. Both display and boot options are acceptable, provided the required resolution is maintained.Clause 3.18: Accepted. Storage on either a removable SD card or USB drive is acceptable, provided that secure and convenient data access and transfer are ensured, in line with applicable data protection and medical device standards.Thank you.Procurement team.
