Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) invites suitably qualified vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation in an upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) for the establishment of a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) for the provision of enabling services in support of the UNGSC Strategic Deployment Solutions programme. The objective of the LTA is to establish regional enabling services contracts to facilitate the rapid deployment and maintenance of infrastructure in United Nations field missions. The contracts will encompass a range of enabling services, including: • Site preparation • Installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of prefabricated structures • Power and water systems • Camp services • Technical and logistics support To deliver these services, vendors must provide qualified personnel (technicians, operators, engineers), supervisors and management staff, as well as operators for specialized equipment (e.g., cranes, excavators, concrete pumps). Vendors are also expected to operate specialized equipment for earthmoving, material handling, compaction, and concrete works, along with surveying and testing tools (e.g., GPS, laser levels, penetrometers). Vendors must have the capacity to : • Rapidly mobilize personnel and equipment • Operate effectively in high-risk or remote environments • Respond swiftly to Task Orders issued by the UN to ensure timely mission readiness Interested vendors will be required to demonstrate: • Proven experience in infrastructure deployment and technical support in remote or challenging environments • Strong capacity for rapid regional mobilization • Compliance with UN standards for environmental protection, health, safety, and operational performance Anticipated Regions of Operation: • Sub-Saharan Africa (East and West) • Middle East and North Africa (MENA) • The Americas (Latin America and the Caribbean) Vendors with the following attributes are strongly encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI): • Disability-inclusive organizations actively promoting participation of persons with disabilities • Entities with a demonstrated commitment to gender equality and parity • Woman-owned businesses with recognized certification or ownership status • Entities based in developing countries, economies in transition, or least developed countries Specific Requirements/Information The UNGSC will provide the full technical specifications and administrative instructions, along with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage after the closing of this EOI. The Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) does not constitute a solicitation. The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements during the REOI and solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not guarantee that your company will invited to the solication exercise. All Vendors must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at the ‘Basic’ Level in UNGM to be invited to the RFP. However, upon award, the selected vendor(s) will be required to have ‘Level 2’ registration before the award of the Contract.
