Provision of Satellite Voice, Data Services and related Hardware (Re-bid)

UNSOS has a requirement to obtain the services of one or more provider/s authorized by Thuraya, Iridium, Inmarsat and Starlink for the provision of satellite voice and data services as well as associated hardware and to ensure services are performed as per applicable international standards, including UN standards as stated in the Conditions of Contract that will be established. Services under the contract should commence by the first quarter of 2026 and are required principally in Somalia and Kenya - which are the main areas of operations for UNSOS. However, the services may also be extended as well to other UN missions located worldwide in accordance with the rules and regulations of the UN Procurement Manual, other missions may use the contract. It is important to understand that the number of users cannot be established precisely and will vary in if the operations in the field so demando, or, also, if other UN miissions will elect to use the services to be provided under the contract. Noting that UNSOS will not guarantee any minimum level of service, and with the sole purpose of giving an idea of the size of the contract as it is in place right now for UNSOS alone, the number of users in Somalia alone is about 100 for Thuraya and 10 Iridium voice and 70 Iridium PTT. A smaller number of users are currently located in other geographic areas such as Haiti, Lybia and in the territories of Western Sahara. The related Request for Proposal (RFP) will be launched few days after the expiration of this EOI. Specific Requirements/Information 1. Proposer must have certification, letter or license from Thuraya, Iridium, Inmarsat and Starlink authorizing the provider to provide services. 2. Proposer must have experience in providing similar services in the last five years to organizations operating in similar environments. Companies who do not qualify with this requirement should avoid applying to this EOI.
