Description
The Secretariat of the United Nations Staff Mutual Insurance Society against Sickness and Accident (UNSMIS) of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) intends to launch a competitive tender with the aim of entering into a 5-year contract (3+2) with a service provider for access to a geographically and medically comprehensive, high quality, good value worldwide (excluding Europe and North America) network of medical providers ranging from GP's to specialists, to clinics to hospitals. The coverage sough extends beyond Staff members and includes also eligible family members and retirees of organizations, funds and programs participating in UNSMIS. It aims primarily at covering staff residing outside of Europe and North America. All UNSMIS insured individuals should be covered at all times, i.e. coverage is not limited to duty station, country of residence or official working hours. The coverage should therefore also include holidays and leisure time/travel. Specific Requirements/Information Interested service providers should meet at a minimum, the following technical criteria: 1. Demonstration of having an extensive international (excluding Europe and North America) network of at lease 300 medical providers (GP's, Specialists, clinics, hospitals, centers of excellence, etc.,), located in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. 2. Demonstration of having a dedicated medical network development team with at least ten (10) years combined expereince in developing medical networks. 3. Demonstration of having a minimum of ten (10) years of expereince (as a company) in managing and/or operating worldwide medical networks for international clients.
