Description

The WFP Supply Chain division seeks to purchase tariff management, Purchase Order (PO) management, container tracking, detention and demurrage control and digital documentation software for the Track and Trace (T&T) project.

As part of the Track & Trace project, and specifically focused on the traceability capabilities, it has been deemed of paramount importance to implement shipping tracking and digital documentation technologies in all WFP supply chain operations. The endeavour focuses primarily on the digitalization of the current shipping process, along with the automation of manual steps which have been deemed inefficient. The EOI is intended to identify the best solution provider on the market for WFP operations to implement tariff management, PO management, container tracking, detention and demurrage control and digital documentation software for commodity traceability, which currently uses a mix of offline, email, third party and SAP-based solution (for batch tracking, vessel booking and document signatures).

Currently, WFP’s shipping operations involve contracting, documentation, tracking. However, manual processes, document inconsistencies, and shipment delays cause traceability issues, operational bottlenecks, and compliance risks.
