New clarification added: Bidder query: We would like to clarify that the system we are offering is based on advanced laser-marked trackers and does not require any reflective marker spheres or disposable components. This newer technology offers a zero-disposables solution, reducing recurring costs and simplifying operation. In view of this, we kindly request that these accessories—particularly the reflective marker spheres—be made optional to allow for participation of systems using alternative, more modern tracking technologies.UNOPS reply: Please kindly see Amendment II regarding the specification of “accessories included” under Lot 5 – Neuro Navigation System.

New clarification added: Bidder query: We are currently reviewing the technical specifications for Lot 3 – Operating Table (Neurosurgery) and Lot 4 – Operating Table (Orthopedics including Orthopedic Traction Set) under ITB/2025/58538.We would like to kindly request a revision of the specified inclination ranges for the Head and Leg Sections to allow for broader participation without compromising functional performance. Specifically, we request consideration for the following ranges:Head Section: +25° to -45°Leg Section: +70° to -90°These ranges are consistent with commonly manufactured models from leading global brands and ensure compatibility with neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures while maintaining safety and clinical efficacy.UNOPS reply: The head section could not be changed as it fits the clinical requirements. The Foot/leg section was ammended to at least +70° to -90° from horizontal position. to allow broader orthopedic use.

New clarification added: Bidder query: We are in the process of preparing our bid for the tender ITB/2025/58538 – Supply of Medical Equipment to Lao PDR. As per the tender requirements, we understand that international bidders must have a local presence in Lao PDR or may form a joint venture with local agents in Laos, Thailand, or Cambodia for installation and after-sales support.In light of the current situation at the Thailand borders, we respectfully request that dealers based in Vietnam also be considered eligible as JV partners for the purpose of this tender. Vietnam shares a border with Laos and has a well-established healthcare logistics infrastructure, making it a viable and reliable option for meeting the tender’s requirements related to installation and after-sales service.We kindly seek your consideration to amend or expand the eligibility criteria accordingly, to allow participation with Vietnam-based partners.UNOPS reply: The amendment has been modifed regarding the Local agent clause as followsThe bidder shall have local presence in Lao PDR or must have a local agent as a JV partner in Laos OR in Thailand / Cambodia / Vietnam(In the case of an International Bidder) for performing installation & after sale services.
