Description
The United Nations (UN) has a requirement to establish a Global System Contract(s) for the provision of various security screening system equipment in support of the UN Secretariat in New York (USA), as well as global Peacekeeping and Special Policital Missions Missions (https://www.unmissions.org), Regional Economic and Social Commissions, and other Offices Away from UN Headquarters (OAHs). This Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) aims to identify qualified vendors interested in the the upcoming solicitation for the provision of the following security screening equipment systems in any combination of below listed equipment (all or as many as possible), including associated accessories, consumables, spare parts, maintenance & technical support, training, logistics, delivery, installation and disposal (where required): 1. X-Ray Screening System Equipment for baggage and cargo, which includes: 1.a) Dual-View Detector System X-Ray Screening System (2 Generator) for baggage 1.b) Computed Tomography (CT) Technology (CT) for baggage 1.c) Dual-View Detector System X-Ray Screening System (2 Generator) for cargo 2. Millimeter Wave Scanner (People Screening Systems) (MMW) 3. Explosive Trace Detectors (ETD) For Vendors Qualifications/Eligibility Information please see below Specific Requirements Specific Requirements/Information Vendor Eligibility Information – For Reference Only: As part of the upcoming Invitation to Bid (ITB) for security x-ray equipment, the following eligibility criteria will be applied as part of the first-stage evaluation of bids. While this Expression of Interest (EOI) does not include a formal pre-qualification evaluation, vendors are encouraged to review these criteria carefully and self-assess their suitability prior to submitting an expression of interest. Eligibility Criteria: 1. OEM or Authorized Dealer/Partner: The vendor must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or an authorized dealer/partner for any or all of the three (3) equipment types listed. Authorized dealers will be required to provide proof of authorized status from the OEM. 2. Quality Management System: The vendor or the OEM will be required to operate under a certified Quality Management System (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent). Authorized dealers will be required to provide the OEM’s valid certification. 3. Relevant Experience and Capability o OEMs must have at least five (5) years of international experience in the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, operation, maintenance, after-sales support, repair, and training for their products. o Authorized dealers must have at least five (5) years of international experience in the sale/supply of the products, including installation, maintenance, repair, and training (if not directly provided by the OEM). The associated OEM must also meet the above experience requirements.
