New clarification added: Q5: Reference is made to line number 11 of item #2: Smoke evacuation system in "Form D_Technical specifications for goods" which stipulates the following: "Approximate dimensions: 20 cm high x 35 cm wide x 50 cm deep". What is the acceptable diviation from the stipulated dimensions of the item required?   A5:The stipulated dimensions are approximate therefore minor deviations of +/-15 % from the stated dimensions will be accepted.

New clarification added: Q4: Reference is made to item #2: Smoke evacuation system. Is the item intended for smoke evacuation during surgeries or is it a standing alone special air filtration system?   A4: This question is clarified with beneficiaries and created changes upon their request. It is found that, device will be used in the operation room during surgery process.  A Smoke Evacuation System is a specialized device designed to remove smoke from the operation room while cauterization with a coagulator , fumes, and hazardous particles from the air in medical, industrial, or laboratory environments. 

New clarification added: Q3:Could you please clarify if customs clearance is the responsibility of a bidder and should a bidder integrate cost of customs clearnace at port in a bid?  A3:Customs clearance of the shipments upon arrival to Tashkent, Uzbekistan shall be the responsibility of the Consignee (UNOPS); however, the Contractor must provide the necessary documentation in a timely manner for facilitating the process. For detailed information please refer to point 1.4. of the annex #3 Schedule of Requirements to the Section_IV_Draft_Contract_for_Goods.

New clarification added: Q2:Is it mandatory for a bidder to register requested goods at the (State Center for expertise and standardisation of medicines, medical devices and medical equipment under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and/or Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  A2: As per the point 1.3. of the annex #3 Schedule of Requirements to the Section_IV_Draft_Contract_for_Goods, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to verify whether registration is required for the items under the contract.

New clarification added: Q1: Are international companies eligible to participate in this tender?  A1: As per the Particulars of the RFQ, the bidder may have the nationality of any country, therefore international companies are eligible to participate in this tender.
