New clarification added: Clarification:Dear sir,We would like to inquire about the comments below:In electircals work·In drawing no E4-2 shown 16 switch and 16 socket for Air conditions which connected by one circuit for example AC1:AC-GF (3 Wall mounted air conditions) please more details how we can connect (3 No of A/C BY one Circuit breaker -10A also wire sizing is 3*2.5).·(AC-GF-DB) IS SINGLE PHASE FOR A/C wiring by 3*6 sq. mm which connected to 20 spilt unit and 12 cassette AC. ·more details or drawing for ups and batteries racks which give 52.1 volt UNOPS REPLY: 1. Connection of 3 Air Conditioners by One Circuit Breaker (10A)The units shown in the drawings are not standard split units, as indicated in the mechanical schedules on drawing M-009. The internal units are small, with power ratings ranging from 50W to 90W. Therefore, each group of sockets is connected to a single circuit breaker. The main power supply is managed by the outdoor units, not the indoor units.2. AC-GF-DB Single Phase for A/C Wiring (3*6 sq. mm)This setup is consistent with the design and load distribution, given the nature and capacities of the units mentioned in the schedule.3. Details or Drawing for UPS and Battery RacksThese are electrical devices that will be supplied, installed, and connected as per the specifications provided in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).Please also refere to the electrical load schedule found in drawing M-009

All interested bidders are encouraged to dedicate their time effectively to meet the submission deadline requirement.

New clarification added: Clarification:Dear sirItems (1.1.1)Does demolition work include rebuilding?UNOPS REPLY:The demolishing item doesn't include reduilding, there are other items for block work, the contractor is requested to rehabilitate the facility as per the modified layout in the architecural drawings

New clarification added: Clarification:"All quotations shall be submitted net of any direct taxes including customs duties, indirect taxes such as sales taxes or VAT, and taxes on commodities, such as fuel"regarding to this point, We would like to inquire, will you provide taxes and customs exemptions for  the contractor?UNOPS REPLY:UNOPS will provide the customs exemption and clearance at Yemeni ports for the imports under the contract for products that are not available in the local market upon import approval by the concerned beneficiary ministry in Yemen. Accordingly, once the import plan is approved, the supplier will be responsible of submitting the relevant consistent shipping documents on a timely manner to enable UNOPS process the exemptions before the arrival of the shipments to Yemen main port

New clarification added: Clarification: Dear UNOPSI would like to inquire if a completed HVAC contract worth over $800,000 qualifies as similar experience for the bid requirements?Additionally, will the submission deadline be extended?UNOPS REPLY:Bidders should have experience successfully delivering two similar works contracts during the last [Eight (8) Years] years prior to bid opening (new construction or rehabilitation are considered similar projects). In case bidders suspect if their contracts are similar or not, they must submit details for the completed projects in addition to the certificates of completion.No extensions will be made to the submission deadline. 

New clarification added: Clarification:Dear UNOPS,We seek clarification regarding the differences between the cooling capacity of the outdoor units and the total cooling capacities of indoor units in the VRF system:VRF #1: Outdoor and indoor unit total CC = 29.3 kWVRF #4: Outdoor and indoor unit total CC = 40.5 kWHowever,VRF #2: Outdoor unit CC = 39.4 kW, indoor units total CC = 51.7 kWVRF #3: Outdoor unit CC = 47.6 kW, indoor units total CC = 77.28 kWPlease advise on how we should proceed with the selection of these VRF systems to ensure more accurate pricing and selections.Thank you for your guidance.UNOPS REPLY:VRF #3:The total capacity for the outdoor unit was an inadvertent error. It should be 74.6 kW instead of 47.6 kW, which now complies with the ideal range of the combination ratio as outlined in the schedule.General Note:The final VRF capacities will be determined based on the final selection of indoor units.Consequently, the capacities of the outdoor units must align with and comply with the capacities of the selected indoor units to ensure system efficiency and proper operation.UNOPS will amend the BoQ to correct the information under BoQ item # 3.2, this will be through amendment no. 1 which will be published soon.

New clarification added: Clarifications:Daily Fuel TankDoes the item include a daily fuel tank with level control?UNOPS REPLY: Yes, the scope includes a daily fuel tank with level control.If so, what is the capacity of the daily fuel tank?UNOPS REPLY: The capacity of the daily fuel tank is 970 liters as specified in the BoQ.Electrical and Mechanical Fuel PumpsAre electrical and mechanical fuel pumps included?UNOPS REPLY: Yes, electrical and mechanical fuel pumps are included.If yes, what is the required flow rate of these pumps?UNOPS REPLY: The required flow rate of the pumps is 95 liters/hour.Piping ConnectionDoes the scope cover piping between the daily fuel tank and the existing bulk fuel tank?UNOPS REPLY: Yes, the scope includes piping between the daily fuel tank and the existing bulk fuel tank.If included, what are the network pipe diameter and distance?UNOPS REPLY: The pipe diameter is 3/4 inch, and the distance will be measured on-site according to the approved shop drawing.
