New clarification added: Dear Bidders,   Please note the below-raised questions and our official responses in connection with the request for quotation, ref. RFQ/2024/54326Question One (01a): Lot 1 Item 5 - Head Torch: We have found a well branded head torch that fits all requested criteria, except that it is for 580lm rather than the requested 600lm. As this is only a small difference and would represent a negligible difference in performance. Further, achieving 600lm on a lightweight torch running on alkaline batteries is very limiting, which further plays into our request.Answer One (01a): This is acceptable. Please refer to Amendment No. 1 of Sections II and III for the updated specifications. Question One (01b): Lot 1 Item 8 - Non-Magnetic Trowel: Is a trowel with a plastic, rather than a wooden handle (as shown in the picture) acceptable, as long as the blade is non-magnetic?Answer One (01b): Yes,  it can be heavy-duty Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). Please refer to Amendment No. 1 of Sections II and III for the updated specifications.Question One (01c):  Lot 1 Item 9 - Non-Magnetic Saw: For this item, it is requested that the blade be made out of carbon steel, and that the item be non-magenetic. However, carbon steel is magnetic so we would be grateful if you could clarify this point.Answer One (01c):.The item is a pruning saw. And there is no requirement for it to be non-magnetic. Please refer to Amendment No. 1 of Sections II and III for the updated specifications.Question One (01d) : Lot 1 Item 11 - Collapsible Shovel: For this item, it is requested that the item be carbon steel (in line 1), but later in the specifications it requests that the item be made of 'Stainless steel', with the picture showing a carbon steel model. Could you please confirm what material this item should be made out of?Answer One (01d) : The collapsible shovel should be Carbon Steel. Please refer to Amendment No. 1 of Sections II and III for the updated specifications.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.Thank you.
