Construction of new 450 square foot Security Booth at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

The United Nations is requesting an Expression of Interest (REOI) from competent and qualified vendors for the construction of a new 450 square foot Security Booth along the perimeter of the UNHQ Campus on First Avenue, at 45th Street in the City of New York, USA. The Post 105 construction works includes, but not limited to, the following scope: 1. Construction of a new steel framed, ballistic rated, Security Structure (details will be specified in the construction drawings provided via the formal procurement process). 2. Decommissioning and removal of an existing steel and glass Guard Booth 3. Removal of two existing flag poles. 4. Removal of existing fence mounted Electrical Panels. 5. Removal of two existing fence mounted motor control panels for the existing hydraulic swing gates. (one to be reinstalled in a new location) 6. Modification of the existing wrought iron fencing and vehicle gate. 7. Installation of a new bicycle entry point with custom wrought iron gates. 8. Removal of existing anti-vehicle barriers (retractable bollard) along with their concrete foundations, their hydraulic equipment boxes and concrete pads. 9. Installation of owner supplied 16’ hydraulic vehicle barrier. 10. Installation of all site work including a new concrete ramp for handicap access as well as concrete curbs, steps, handrails and stainless-steel bollards. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that the construction services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. For the installation of the vehicle barrier, the contractor will be required to sub-contract the installation work to an authorized Delta Scientific installer (the list of authorized installers will be provided to the contractor).
