Provision of Design Verification, Supply, Installation, Renovation & Construction Works, Testing & Commissioning of Perimeter Fences and Gates at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) invites qualified contractors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming tender exercise for Provision of Design Verification, Supply, Installation, Renovation & Construction Works, Testing & Commissioning of Perimeter Fences and Gates at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The objective of the requirement is to provide security upgrades which include design verification, supply, installation, renovation and construction works , testing , commissioning, placing into service and defects rectification during defects liability period to the Perimeter fences and gates for: -Gate 3 -North Fence upgrades A (Fence type 5 and 6a) -North Fence upgrades B (Fence type 6 and 6a); and -East and South Fence upgrades (Fence type 7) Works to Gate 3 include demolition of the existing vehicle gates, guard house and screening facility, and construction of a new gate and screening facility. The following items are included in the project: - New roofed entry sally port - New exit sally port (not roofed) - New visitor screening building and guard house - New Federal Police booth The Fence Upgrade works includes the following: - Removal (and replacement as required) of existing services attached to existing perimeter walls. - Removal of climbable elements attached to perimeter walls. - Maintenance and repair of existing perimeter walls. - New anti-climb mesh fencing added to tops of existing perimeter walls. - Electrified razor tape coils and/or electrified wires added to tops of fences. The Commission seeks to enter into a one year contract with the successful Contractor. A detailed Terms of Reference shall be included in the consecutive solicitation documents that will be issued after this EOI is closed. Kindly note that the UNECA is precluded from inviting vendors to participate in a tender exercise who are not fully registered in UNGM.
