Description
The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter "UNOPS") invites you to submit documents for pre-qualification for Works Contractors of Construction or Renovation of Six Regional Hospitals and Cold Chain Facilities in Somalia.
This Pre-qualification is a formal method of assessing an organization against a set of pre-determined criteria. This process is not related to a specific solicitation process and focuses on a general assessment of an organization's operational, personnel capabilities, and internal processes, including internal quality management and financial health.
While this process is not directly related to a solicitation process, UNOPS may use the results of this PQ exercise to create a shortlist of work contractors that may be invited to submit a proposal for the construction of future building projects.

- Evaluation Method and Criteria (Section II);
- Returnable Proposal Schedules (Section III);
IMPORTANT NOTE: Interested vendors must respond to this tender using the UNOPS eSourcing system, via the UNGM portal. In order to access the full UNOPS tender details, request clarifications on the tender, and submit a vendor response to a tender using the system, vendors need to be registered as a UNOPS vendor at the UNGM portal and be logged into UNGM. Participation in the clarification meeting is not mandatory but participation is strongly encouraged to avoid the risk of non-compliant bids.

New clarification added: The academic requirements for the Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental officer (HSSE officer) include a Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, in safety, construction management, or related fields from a reputable University; a Minimum of 5 years of experience of work CV and Credential must be attached..Other areas could be Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) , and Civil Engineering. However, the candidate needs to fulfill the required experience.We don’t prefer projects only by government and international institutions or government or other legal entities.

New clarification added: The clarification request is well noted.The criterion is slightly revised to clarify what needs to be submitted.You are not required to submit as-built drawings. However, you are required to provide a written statement confirming the as-built drawings and other documents in the list, the substantial and final completion certificate indicating the activities listed in the criterion are completed.

New amendment added #1: Amendment 1:This amendment is to upload the Minutes of the Pre-Bid Meeting for the Invitation to Pre-Qualification for Works Contractors for the Construction or Renovation of Six Regional Hospitals and Cold Chain Facilities in Somalia that was held on Wednesday, 11 Sep 2024, via Google Meet. The deadline for submissions has been extended from September 18 to September 26, 2024. The deadline for clarifications has been extended to September 19, 2024.
