UNDP is supporting the Ministry in demonstration of five potential biodiversity finance solutions, namely, Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Public Finance (Agriculture Sector), the Corporate Social Responsibility, Access and Benefit Sharing, Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Financial Services and Financial Technologies (FinTech), and Nature-Related Risk Assessment and Financial Disclosure.

Nature-related financial disclosure, one of the Finance Solutions, is the focus of Target 15 of the Kunming Montreal-Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF), and subsequently the National Biodiversity Targets (NBTs) being developed for India. For supporting BIOFIN India in enabling the integration of nature-related considerations in business strategies and adoption of nature-related financial disclosures by at least 5 organizations towards Target 15 of the KMGBF and draft NBT 15
