LRPS-2024-9191678 - Establishing Local Long-Term Arrangements (LTA) for Water Borehole Construction Works in Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Purpose and Objective
UNICEF PNG intends to establish timebound multiple Long-Term Arrangements (LTAs) with water borehole construction contractors/firms for a period of 2 years with possibility of extension of another year based on satisfactory performance. to construct and equip boreholes, including geophysical siting, drilling and installation of pumps, reticulation of pipes in selected sites in provinces throughout PNG.
The specialized nature of the works under this Request for Proposal requires the use of experienced drilling contractors with adequate understanding of the local hydrogeological conditions. It is, therefore, planned to establish LTAs with qualified drilling contractors who have the experience, knowledge and skills for carrying out these works.
What is Long-Term Arrangement (LTA)
It is a non-binding contractual framework that represents an offer on the part of the service provider/contractor to provide UNICEF with required services at fixed established prices under the terms & condition detailed therein for the duration of the arrangement and does not represent a contract or oblige UNICEF to spend any monies whatsoever. UNICEF is in no way obligated to produce any minimum value of service under this LTA.
Institutional Contract, a binding contractual agreement will be issued for a specified requirement based on the agreed fixed established prices as per the LTA, the Institutional Contract will incorporate all the General Terms and Conditions (GTCs) contained therein. UNICEF’s liability will be limited to the Institutional Contract only for the services stipulated therein and no increase in that total liability of UNICEF or in the price of service will be authorized or paid to the Supplier unless such increases have been pre-approved by UNICEF prior to any provision of service.
