Installation of fuel tanks at UNAMI compound in Kirkuk,Iraq.

1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement to hire the services of a contractor for the construction of Overflow Containment and installation of fuel tanks at the interm compound in Al-Hurriya Air Base in Kirkuk, Iraq. 2.0 The work shall consist but not limited to the furnishing of all necessary tools, materials, equipment, skilled manpower, transportation, machineries, accessories and supervision to carry out all works as described below: a) General requirement and other Preliminaries b) Site works c) Concrete works d) Structural steel works e) Safety Woks, Signs and Marking f) Installation of T-walls 3.0 Requirements before commencement of the work: a) Examination of Site b) The contractor shall provide the following information : 1) Quality control plan 2) Work Scheduling Program 4) Requirements During the Construction : a) Codes b) Submittals c) Safety d) Burden for Damage 5.0 For this purpose UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue Request for Proposal (RFP) with detailed specifications, Bill of Quantities , UN general Conditions of Contracts and other related documents to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI's requirement. 6.0 The project should be executed by a qualified and experienced company, based on scope of work (SOW), Bill of Quantities, Specifications, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI accordingly. For this purpose UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly ( Request for Proposal) 7.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not Request for Proposal for submission of a proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
