Description
The United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (UN-IRMCT) has a requirement for the provision of fumigation and pest (Mosquitoes, flies, insects, bees, snakes, rodent and other pests) control services including monitoring and identification, prevention and control, and provide a healthy and safe working environment at its premises situated at Haki Road in the Lakilaki area on as and when required basis. Scope of works: The main scope of work is to offer fumigation and pest control services to the interior,exterior and sorroundings of the office as per requirement and frequency.The contractor shall provide services with all qualified personnel, equipment, insecticides and other items necessary to perform services work in relation to this service. Product for Services: The contractor should use insecticide and pesticides with no adverse effect to humans and the environment. The insecticides and pesticides for fumigation must have the approval of local government authority (Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticides Authority). The vendor should provide the details of products with their reference catalogues with their proposals. The contractor will provide the list of precautions to be observed during and after the fumigation and the time required for staff to re-enter the facilities. IRMCT recommends the use of Actellic 50 in its offices, Courtroom, Library and Common Areas and Repository / Archives; the vendor to place sticky traps inside the repository, review them monthly, and schedule fumigation as needed based on what is found in the traps.As needed and with MARS and/or OTP approval, spray with Cypermethrin The Nuvan (dichlorvos) chemical SHOULD NOT be used under any circumstances at the IRMCT premises as this product has been banned in the EU and US. The performance of the Contractor will formally be assessed during a quarterly meeting between IRMCT and Contractor representative(s). During each meeting and as part of the support documentation for its invoices to IRMCT, the Contractor shall fully document performance based on each of the KPIs listed above; Failure to meet the required KPIs may result in the application of liquidated damages, in the circumstances described below.
