Description
The United Nations (UN) Department of Operational Support (DOS) invites interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of a comprehensive Automated Flight Following (AFF) solution and Portable Aircraft Tracking/Messaging Devices (PATMD) for its diverse fleet of over 200 civilian and military air assets operating globally. Background: The UN operates a significant fleet of aircraft across various missions worldwide. To ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of these operations, the UN requires a robust and integrated AFF solution that can seamlessly track and monitor flights in real-time, along with reliable PATMDs for aircraft lacking built-in tracking capabilities. Scope of Requirements: The selected vendor will be responsible for providing: 1. A cloud-based, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Software as a Service (SaaS) AFF solution capable of integrating data from multiple third-party AFF platforms and providing real-time flight tracking, status updates, and telemetry data. 2. Portable Aircraft Tracking/Messaging Devices (PATMD) that meet stringent performance, reliability, and security standards, ensuring global coverage and seamless integration with the AFF solution. Mandatory Requirements: • The AFF solution must be cloud-based, scalable, and capable of integrating data from various AFF platforms using XML or JSON formats. • The solution should offer both automated and manual flight-following functionalities, including real-time aircraft tracking, detailed flight segment information, and a dedicated help desk. • The PATMDs must provide real-time tracking, global coverage, accuracy, reliability, and integration with existing aviation systems. They should also be tamper-proof, adhere to data privacy regulations, and include an alerting system. Desired Requirements: • The AFF solution should be user-friendly, intuitive, and accessible via web and mobile interfaces. • The PATMDs should have long battery life, be compact and lightweight, and offer cost-effectiveness. Submission of EOI: Interested ven43000000, 25200000, 25201700dors are requested to submit their EOI to the attention of muchiri@un.org.
