Call for Expression of Interest: Lead (international) consultant for a value chain selection study to identify value chains with potential for more and better jobs for women entrepreneurs in the Madhesh province, Nepal.

The ILO Country Office for Nepal invites expression of interest from a qualified international individual for the role of lead consultant for a value chain selection study to identify value chains with potential for more and better jobs for women entrepreneurs in the Madhesh province, Nepal.

Expected Work Duration:                                               

Total 45 workdays from August to December 2024.

Deadline for Submission of Proposal:

17.30 (Nepal time) on Wednesday, 24 July 2024.

Objective

To identify up to two value chains within the agriculture or forestry sectors that are important to the economic and social development of the Madhesh province and where women entrepreneurs’ participation and access to decent work could be improved.

Applicants are requested to send the following documents electronically to ktm_procurement@ilo.org no later than 17:30 hrs (Nepal time) on Wednesday, 24th July 2024:

  1. CV outlining relevant experience, particularly in the application of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and tools, particularly if applied with vulnerable groups.
  2. Technical proposal (maximum 3 pages) outlining the candidate’s understanding of the assignment and the approach and methodology to be used.
  3. Cover letter (1 page) outlining motivation to undertake the assignment and highlighting relevant experience.
  4. Financial proposal (with daily rate, travel, daily subsistence allowance, and any other costs deemed necessary for carrying out this assignment).
  5. Attestations for Medical and Insurance, see ToR.
