Description
The United Nations (UN) Office of Human Resources (OHR) fosters a dynamic, adaptable, mobile workforce of more than 35,000 staff in more than 400 locations worldwide. OHR develops the regulatory human resources framework, strategies, policies, and directives to ensure the United Nations Secretariat is better equipped to carry out its functions both at Headquarters and in field offices. The Office provides leadership in strategic talent management areas, including strategic workforce planning; talent identification; organizational and staff development (including career planning), performance management; Organisation-wide mobility and appropriate duty of care, for all UN staff. OHR is seeking to contract with qualified vendors that provide generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions which could be used to augment and accelerate identifying needed skills and responsibilities for developing job descriptions. The service should deliver the following objectives: • Automate creation and update of job descriptions using internal and external global data sources covering job titles, description of responsibilities, knowledge, skills and abilities, (KSAs) to perform specific responsibilities, and other requirements such as education, work experience and certificates. • Provision of a tool that enables the building of a customized hierarchical skills taxonomy containing the KSAs used in the GJPs that is constantly updated to ensure its relevance based on internal and external trends and subject matter experts’ inputEstablish a customizable hierarchical skills taxonomy. • Provision of an initial set of draft job descriptions in a specific UN format; • Provision of a first version of the UN skills taxonomy using proprietary tools and processes; • Ensuring data hosting and access comply with application development security standards; The detailed scope of requirements will be provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this EOI.
