Description
The Procurement Unit (PU) of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), on behalf of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Maritime Crime Programme (GMCP), invites qualified suppliers to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI) for providing maritime operations equipment. This equipment is intended to enhance maritime security by equipping the operations rooms of selected Coast Guard units in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea region. The selected sites for this procurement include Yemen (Aden), Somalia (Berbera and Bosaso), and Djibouti (Port De Djibouti), starting with the Yemen Coast Guard facility in Aden. The procurement will include various maritime operations equipment, such as GMDSS radio telephones, NAVTEX receivers, voice system recorders, AIS-receiving stations, marine radar systems, surveillance cameras, workstations, UPS units, and server racks. Each piece of equipment will meet stringent technical requirements, ensuring compliance with international standards and providing reliable performance in demanding maritime environments. This procurement aims to bolster the capabilities of the Coast Guards in these regions, enabling them to effectively address maritime security challenges and enhance safety and security in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea. Further details will be communicated to interested vendors via the tendering documents. Please note hat this is not an invitation for submission for a bid and/or proposal. This is a Request for Expression of Interest (EoI) to identify qualified vendors interested in participating in the solicitation. Interested vendors must provide the completed Vendor Response Form (attached below), including the UNGM Vendor Registration Number. UNOV will examine the EoI and reserves the right to select the invitees for competitive bidding. Accordingly, an Expression of Interest does not automatically warrant an interested vendor's participation in the compettitive bidding exercise. Furthermore, UNOV reserves the right to change or cancel any of this requirement at any time during EoI and/or solicitation process.
