Conducting topographic survey for selected desert area (Hotspot Area 2), Nasiriyah, Thi-Qar Governorate, Iraq
Iraq, as well as many other countries in the region, are facing the mounting challenge of transboundary Sand and Dust Storms (SDS). Over the past two decades, the frequency and intensity of SDS have increased, fuelled by factors like desertification, changing land-use patterns, water scarcity, rising temperatures, and prolonged droughts—manifestations of the pressing climate change impact on the region. UN-Habitat is currently implementing the project on “Improved Resilience against Transboundary Sand and Dust Storms in Kuwait and Iraq”. Part of the project are field interventions aiming at mitigating and/or preventing SDS at source.
UN-Habitat Regional Office for Arab Stats is inviting your company to submit an offer for Conducting topographic survey for selected desert area (Hotspot Area 2), Nasiriyah, Thi-Qar Governorate, Iraq
