New clarification added: QuestionWe seek clarification on the question below:-Phone Brands e.g (Samsung, Apple etc) keep on changing the series/model of phones quite often such that the old series would no longer be available in the market hence the need to buy the replacement model which is usually costlier than the retired model/series. Kindly advise us, if that was to happen, would the supplier be allowed to vary the pricing of the phone? If YES, kindly let us know by what percentage may the new price vary from the BPA price?UNOPS Response:Noting that new models of mobile phones are continuously released, the awarded BPA holder may request for price adjustment subject to the UNOPS approval process. Should the BPA holder submit a request for price adjustment, this price adjustment shall be subject to the following:a) Detailed justification for cost adjustment (if upwards/ increasing) and substantiated from credible recognised sources being provided by the BPA holder.b) UNOPS review of the request for cost reasonableness against the market price including but not limited to review of established global/regional price indices, inflation rate of the country. Should UNOPS not be able to determine cost reasonableness, UNOPS deserves the right to reject the price adjustment.c) If UNOPS believe prices have adjusted downwards then BPA holders will need to revise their prices downwards to match the current market.Any changes in prices upwards will be managed as per the UNOPS Procurement Manual Guidelines for Amendments and is subject to a cost reasonableness analysis and further approval. Bidders are therefore encouraged to consider the most current series/model when responding to this request. Thanks.

New clarification added: Question: Can we quote for more than one brand with similar specifications or the quote is for one brand.And if it is one brand, is there a preferred brand for the phones.UNOPS Response:Please note that Alternative offers are not accepted i.e, only one phone brand per category.UNOPS does not have a  preferred brand/ model of the phones i.e.,a bidder can propose a different brand for each of the categories listed in section II.Thanks.

Look for the tender(RFQ/2024/51447) and click on 'View documents' which is a green button right in front of the tender title.
