Description
Summary of Scope of services The United Nations Secretary General Mechanism (UNSGM) serves as a verification instrument of the 1925 Geneva Protocol or other relevant rules of customary international law for alleged uses of chemical, biological and toxin weapons. The UNSGM enables the UN Secretary-General to, upon request by any UN Member States, launch an investigation into alleged use of chemical, biological and toxin weapons., consistent with the mandate given in UN general Assembly resolution of 42/37C of 1987. The list of the required equipment and accessories are listed in Annex-1 of this document. The vendor is expected to possess the capability: - to urgently source or maintain stock of all required items in Annex-1 - to deliver any or all of the required items to the designated location at short notice (3-5 days) - ability to receive back the unused items The UN intends to have a long term agreement through a formal tendering process.
