Provision of Catering Services and/or Cafe Services at the UN Secretariat New York

The United Nations (UN) is seeking to enter into contractual arrangements with qualified companies able to provide Catering Services and/or Cafe Services at the UN Secretariat. The duration of the contract will be for a period of five years or longer commencing 1 July 2014. Companies wishing to be considered should have an established reputation in the industry. For Catering Services: The Contractor is expected to provide full service cafeteria program at five or six different locations within the UN complex. In addition, the Contractor is also expected to operate an executive-type dining area for official UN functions and receptions hosted by Permanent Missions to the UN and external parties. The Contractor may be called upon to cover special catering needs for high level events and other high level State functions. The Contractor is also expected to provide vending machines throughout the UN complex. For Cafe Services: The Contractor is expected to provide café/coffee shop services at two or three locations within the UN complex. The Contractor is expected to operate in these facilities cafe/coffee shop type food operation with counters and possible table service, serving breakfast, lunch and snacks. Vendors are advised that this EOI does not constitute a solicitation.Vendors can select to respond either to the Catering Services portion or to the Cafe Services portion, vendors can also reply to both. The UN reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
